In Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits, 312 candidates are contesting for 15 assembly seats. The BJP won around 48 corporator seats in the last GHMC elections.
But do they have any influence here in Hyderabad? The Mayor is from the BRS. This time Janasena and BJP are going together for the elections. But the BJP has already lost the steam we can say.
The Congress and BRS are fighting a pitched battle. The voters in Hyderabad and Secunderabad apart from Cyberabad are not wedded to any of the politico parties as such.
7 seats will definitely go to the MIM as usual. Jubilee Hills and Nampally may not come to MIM this time. The rest of the seats will be between the Congress and the BRS.
Talasani, Padma Rao and Gopinath will win for the BRS. JanaSena might have one seat in Hyderabad. The wave as such in open is for the Congress, but the rural masses and farmers are with BRS.
On the whole Hyderabad will give mixed results with MIM getting the maximum seats.
