It is learnt that she aspired to contest as an MP from Medak this time too but the Congress did not issue the ticket. Political observers anticipated her to actively take part in the electioneering but she was not seen anywhere at the recent Jana Jatara meeting addressed by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.
It is learnt that the organisers completely forgot to invite her. There is information that Vijayasanthi is ready to take up electioneering if asked by any of the party leaders.
It has to be seen if the Congress leadership would utilize her services in the run up to the general elections. As a film star Vijay Shanti did more than twenty movies with Chiranjeevi and was staying in front of his house in Chennai.
Recently she acted with Mahesh Babu and later declined to work in movies.
