It was like that the would be Prime Minister Vajpayee wept like a child when he was about to become the Prime Minister of India. Atalji the iconic politician wanted to be in public life and never wanted to be in isolation. When a journalist on TV pointed that as PM he would be isolated and would have security, people cannot meet him openly like before, Vajpayee has no other option and visualising the scenario he cried like a child.
Even as the PM of the country he tried to meet as many of them as possible. He was one of the Prime Ministers where the opposition was comfortable and he carried them forward along with him. Even after becoming the PM he reached out to them. Being a PM for 3 times is not an easy task and this shows that there was an alternative to him.
Even as the LOP people preferred him, but he gave the chance to LK Advani. He was a poet, politician, statesman and human being to the core who always wanted the welfare of others.
The credit of Modi becoming the Pm of the country goes to Vajpayee as he was the man who proposed Modi as the Gujarat Chief Minister when most of them opposed him.
There was a time when Vajpayee thanked Rajiv Gandhi for including him in the UN delegation and that’s how Vajpayee got treated for the kindly ailment. Vajpayee openly acknowledged that he was alive because of Rajiv Gandhi.
