There is utter confusion and chaos prevailing with the Governance of Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam. The richest Temple in the world is reeling under controversies as the new Government takes over.
While some board members of the TTD have resigned the Chairman Sudhakar Yadav is yet to resign. Some board members appointed by the TDP Government are adamant they want to continue.
The new Government is yet to appoint a new chairman and members to the TTD board. YV Subbareddy the relative of the CM Jagan Mohan Reddy has been chosen for the Chairman post to the TTD. A member for the Board from Telangana will also get appointed.
Right now the Government is contemplating to remove the old Chairman and members with the help of an ordinance by the Governor ESL Narasimhan. Meanwhile, the Hawa of some employees continues on TTD.
It is reported that the former priest of the TTD Ramana Deekshitulu could make a come back to the Temple in some form or the other. He has done some Yagams for Jagan and opposed the regime and governance of Chandrababu Naidu.
The latest news is that the TTD has decided not to enrtain any recommendation letters from the pilgrims up to 15nth of this month. Getting the letters processed and approved will itself take one day on Tirumala.
This system has to be simplified. Instead of a letter in the form of hard copy, the TTD must entertain Email format and confirm the same with SMS.
Let’s hope the new Government will simplify the procedures for Darshan of the Lord and give importance to the common man.
