Now that Allu Aravind is talking about Mahabharat from his Allu entertainment company, people are surprised as to what happened to the Ramayan that he announced earlier.
Mahesh babu was supposed to play the role of Rama. It was supposed to be on 3D format.
Mega producers Allu Aravind, Madhu Mantena and Namith Malhotra were all set to come together for the Rs 500-crore budget movie, The Ramayan, which would be one of the most expensive films to be ever made in the history of Tollywood.
It will be produced on a massive scale by Geetha Arts in association with Prime Focus. Nitesh Tiwari, who earlier directed Dangal and Ravi Udyawar, who directed Mom, will jointly helm this mammoth project.
But the Allu group is now talking about Mahabharat and that too in collaboration with RRR director as the partner of the project.
There is a talk that Ramayan was shelved by Allus as Prabahs is coming up with Aadipurush. Mahabharat the proposed project will be for the OTT platform as a web series it is reported.
There are also reports that Mohanlal who was supposed to do the Mahabharat has also shelved the project due to some budget issues.
