We will win says KCR

“Welcome to the Maratha leaders who joined the BRS. In my 50 years of political experience, I have seen movements, agitations, many problems and stumbling blocks. We won. Now I shouldered another big movement. Seeing the plight of the farmers in the country, I raised the problems being faced by the farmers in the country . I Considered it is a justified farmers fight. There is no such thing is impossible if you keep trying with sincerity. Everything is possible if you think about it. We will definitely win.

Every problem has a solution just like every lock has a key. Honesty in the thought and sincerity in the execution is must. Since 1935, struggles have been going on the farmers’ problems. From leaders like Sir Choturam, Mahinder Singh Tikayat, Sharad Joshi, Chaudhary Charan Singh, Devilal to today’s Gurnam Singh, farmers’ struggles continued. Farmers held protests on the roads of the national capital New Delhi for 13 months against the draconian farm laws. The farmers were branded as Naxalites and terrorists by the central government. Against all odds, farmers fought. Farmers’ struggle is justified.

I was moved and shed tears thinking about the farmers situation. Prime Minister did not say a single word in support of them. The Prime Minister compromised and apologized to the farmers after 750 peasants martyred. Prime Minister made some ‘sweet words ‘ in support of the farmers only during Punjab and UP assembly elections. Otherwise, he would not be able to withdraw the laws. Not a single problem was solved. How long should farmers fight for remunerative prices?

Conditions in Telangana were worse than Maharashtra before the formation of state. Farmers committed suicides in Telangana . After the formation of the state, the state government addressed the farmers plights . Today farmers’ suicides are zero in Telangana. According to the statistics of the Union ministry of Agriculture , Paddy is grown in 56 lakh acres in Telangana alone, out of 94 lakh acres in the country . Reservoirs in Telangana are brimming with water. Visit the Telangana to understand the development taking place in the state. You all have a look at what Telangana government did and how many development programs are being implemented. Visit the Kaleshwaram project. Even in the mid-April , Telangana’s ponds and canals are full of water. The government ‘s dedication is more high than the Himalayas.

There is no dearth of natural resources in the country. Farmers and people are facing difficulties . Singapore does not have resources but developed fast. Why India is lagging despite having plenty of resources. The country was ruled by 14 Prime Ministers but the fate has not changed. How does our country progress compared to other countries? How is the speed of vehicles in the world? How are we doing? Out of 83 crore acres of land in this country, only 41 crore acres are under cultivation. Mangoes grow in this country at the same time as apples. The weather here is great. Water is also more than required. Out of 70,000 TMC water, only 19,000 TMC is being used. 50,000 TMCs are wasted. Besides, there are 140 crore people. Why are our children eating pizzas and burgers when there are more? Why are they unable to set up food processing units beyond McDonald’s in this country..? We should think about all these things.

Farmers’ problems will be resolved if the leaders are aware of the farmers’ sufferings. Only farmers can solve farmers’ problems. When farmers’ problems are being solved in Telangana, why is it not possible in Maharashtra? The budget of Maharashtra is bigger than Telangana budget. Why Maharastra government is not trying to solve the farmers problems . Something is wrong (.dal mein kuch kala hai)

The Center itself announced in the Parliament that Telangana is number one in per capita income. Government is working sincerely to increase revenue sources in Telangana. During the ten years before the formation of the state , the income of the state from sand was only Rs 40 crores . After the formation of Telangana, , it increased to Rs 5,500 crore . It is a fact that the state government is spending Rs 4.5 lakh crores for farmers in the form of Rythu Bandhu, Raithu Bhima, free electricity, irrigation etc. Why not Maharashtra government is solving the farmers issues? Why central government does not work for farmers.? Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis said what are you doing in Maharashtra. I will not come if Telangana model implemented in Maharashtra. FCI used to build warehouses before Modi came to power , Not a single warehouse was built after Modi became PM. Adani taken over. Electricity charges are increasing. Meters are installed to the farmers’ pump sets.

There is no irrigation water, no electricity, no investment support to the faremrs in the country. It is the reason we are moving ahead with a slogan…Ab ki bar kisan sarkar. “Apna Dung Chahiye…Apna Rang Chahiye…Apna Jung Chahiye”. Even if the farmers in this country continue to struggle for 75 years, these rulers will not respond. The same situation will continue. The only weapon is to use the powerful vote and bring the farmers regime . There is no need for protests and fights on the roads when we have the weapon of vote. There is no need to be beaten by the baton. It is not enough to simply use our weapon, the vote. If we cast our vote, the farmers will emerge as rulers. This requires strong will and clear mind. Earlier ‘Shetkari Kaam Gari Party’ contested and won 76 seats in Maharashtra. We will win 200 seats now. It needs a strong determination…” CM KCR said .

On this occasion, CM KCR held interaction with the leaders of the farmers’ association who participated in the meeting. CM KCR answered many questions asked by the farmer leaders and cleared their doubts. A farmer union leader asked a question – What answer should we give if people questioned about the huge expenditure incurred on the farmers welfare. In reply, CM KCR said that it is unfortunate that even after 75 years of independence, the rulers failed to know the importance of spending money for farmers. What else the government’s priority over farmer’s welfare in India? All these times, political leaders and officials have different priorities in the name of development. When the farmer wants to allocate funds for agriculture, it is considered unimportant by putting many queries . The Telangana government accorded priority to farmers welfare and agriculture . We will make allocations for these sectors first in the budget outlay. First priority is being given to the farmers, power and irrigation water which required for agriculture growth from the wealth created by the states in the country ” CM KCR clarified. The CM explained to them the various schemes implemented by the Telangana government.
