Telangana Sahitya Sabha was started at Telangana Saraswata Parishad in Hyderabad Abids under the chairmanship of MLC Kavitha, president of Bharat Jagruti today. On this occasion, Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar Vishishta Sahitya Puraskar-2023 was conferred to Acharya N Gopi by MLC Kavitha.
On this occasion, MLC Kavita said that the Telangana movement was taken forward with the slogan that it is not only important to achieve Telangana but also to preserve our culture and traditions.
She said that Hindi is a beautiful language and her favorite language too. The words in Hindi songs are amazing. She added that as literature lovers, we will adore literature in the Hindi language, but if someone sets rules imposing Hindi, we will break the rules. “In the context of such strange developments taking place in the country, we need to travel from the limited perspective of Telangana to the broader perspective of Indianness. Telangana Jagruti was transformed into Bharat Jagruti as a part of that”, she said.
Kavitha said that except for Telangana, no state in the country pays salaries and honors artists. She reminded me that the TS Govt has established an organization called Kala Sarathi and is honoring more than 530 artists by paying salaries.
While offering her tributes to Prof Jayashankar, the daughter of Telangana’s Chief minister explained that Jayashankar always said to support the writers, as speaking a hundred words is equal to writing one word. She said that Jagruti will do many programs in that direction. On this occasion, Acharya N Gopi was presented with a gold bangle along with ₹ 1,0,1116 under Prof. Kothapalli Jayashankar Vishishta Sahitya Puraskar-2023
