To improve connectivity water planes are being introduced across the country. 18 Aerodromes will be opened soon in a phased manner. The aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu is all set to give permission to the new Aerodromes.
To promote seaplane activities, the government has introduced a streamlined certification process and revised regulations after extensive consultations with industry stakeholders. Under the new Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) norms, a waterdrome licence will no longer be required, and compliance requirements have been reduced. Waterdromes serve as landing and takeoff points for seaplanes. Civil aviation secretary Vumlunmang Vualnam stated that the Civil Aviation Requirement for seaplanes has been simplified, and state governments have been encouraged to identify suitable water
bodies for seaplane operations.
As a minister from AP Rammaohan is also planning to improve the air connectivity in the state. Now some new planes have been added to AP.
Bhoghapuram airport will be inaugurated soon.
New airstrips will be opened soon in all the states. Existing facilities at the airports will also be improved.
