The advocates fraternity is surprised to see that Luthra the Supreme Court Advocate could not get any relief for Babu. Some of them opined that Chandrababu could have influenced the argument of Luthra which was not in the right direction.Luthra did not dive deep in to the case the legal luminaries said.
Some are expressing doubts that the Judge was influenced by the Government. AAG Sudhakhar also argued well.
With Babu starting his 14-day remand on Monday in connection with the `371-crore scam, his counsel requested the court to consider a house remand, considering his advanced age and threat to life
Senior Supreme Court advocate Siddartha Luthra argued that his client Naidu was facing a threat to life at the prison and it was no longer safe for him to serve judicial remand.
He expressed concern over security arrangements for Naidu, citing the presence of hardened criminals in the prison.
If they dont get relief in lower courts, Luthra will appear for Babu in the Supreme Court. Many of them feel that there was no case at all against Chandrababu.
The Officers who were involved in the disbursement of funds in the skill scam were not questioned by the court, or included in the case by the CID.
Luthra has asked for all the material pertaining to the case from the court. A team of lawyers are working for Babu under Luthra here at the ACB court.
