Today is the last day for depositing old currency that is Rs 500 notes. The dead line of 50 days set by PM Modi will also end today. But one can say this is only a beginning. There is a lot in store from Modi sarkar and economists say it will be very difficult for the near future for money hoarders.
There are reports that the people have already started stacking Rs 2000 notes. This is nothing but paving way for the black money again in the country. The BJP Government it is reported wants to with draw the Rs 2000 notes and come back with the Rs 1000 notes and Rs 500 notes in a big way. The printing of Rs 500 notes is being done in a big way.
After March 2017, one fine day Modi might ask you to surrender all the Rs 2000 notes and ban them giving you a time of another 50 days. The Rs 2000 notes may not continue for a long time. Urgit Patel the new RBI Governor is keeping silent knowing everything. The relation with Reliance family is keeping him to maintain a low profile it is reported.
On the other hand despite creating trouble for the common man the BJP Government wants to celebrate the success of demonetization in a big way beginning next year. They want to show that the people have approved them.
The digital currency campaign will go up. There is already fake currency being circulated in the form of Rs 2000. The purpose of stopping the fake currency is being defeated because of the Rs 2000 denomination.
So people will get another Jhatka from BJP Government sooner or later. The people will be at the mercy of bankers for another 3 months there is no doubt about it.
