India’s one of the greatest cricketers, V V S Laxman has been doing wonderful service to society in whatever way he could. Ever since his retirement the stylish Indian cricketer has been involved in promoting the aspiring the youngsters in many ways with his wife Mrs Sailaja’s support.The VVS foundation which was launched in 2012 has been helping many underprivileged children over the last couple of years.
Now the time has come for the official launching of the foundation, which will be done on May 5, 2017 at Taj Krishna hotel, Hyderabad, it was announced by VVS Laxman and Sailajalaxman, the director of the foundation in a press meet held today.
And in connection with this a `Black Tie -Fundraiser will be organised mainly focused on to spread the word about sport coaching and training in India. The donor passes for this event will be available from April 5. The event is designed by a famous Octopus group.
On this day the elite audience consisting of 200 plus of the who’s who of the twin cities and many guests from Indian will have an opportunity to interact with the panelists.Telangana IT minister K Taraka Rama Rao will head the panel of Power of dreams in which film heroine Samantha will be one of the panelists, while VV Laxman will be the moderator. The other panel will comprise famous cricketers Yuvraj Singh, David Warner and badminton legend Pullela gopichand,while popular commentator Harsha Bhogle will be the moderator.
The main purpose of this event is to create a path for change in one of the most ignored topics of Indian subcontinent that is the `quality sports coaching’.
Talking to the media, Laxman mentioned that his ultimate dream is to run a sports-oriented school. “It has been my ambition and I want to create such an atmoshphere that the students should have all round development and I am confident with the support of all I will realise my ambition one day, said Laxman. My parents gave us whatever we wanted and the VVS foundation orginated with my wife Sailaja’s support, who is a philanthropist by nature. And we always think that education is mandatory which will help confront the challenges of life. ”
On KTR leading a panel on May 5, Laxman said, “ I have been really impressed with the wonderful leadership qualities of K Taraka Rama Rao and no need to say how Mr KTR has transformed into a fine leader now. I am sure his presence will inspire many as he is a perfect role model to the society”.
