Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu today rejected the motion against Chief Justice of India saying that there was no merit in the allegations made by the opposition.

They are of the opinion that the notice was not scrutinised properly by the Vice President and his consultants. How can the VP just decide on the notice in a single day they questioned?

7 opposition political parties with the signatures of MPs moved against the CJI Misra on five counts and petitioned to the Vice President of India for his impeachment. But VP clarified that the notice has no merit in the allegations and that it has been rejected.

Finally it has been decided that there was no merit in the notice and that it has been rejected.
