On the auspicious occasion of the mega religious event of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam at Vontimitta in YSR Kadapa District on April 5, TTD has come out with a series of religious, traditional, cultural and devotional events on the day.
As a part of the ongoing annual brahmotsavams at Vontimitta Sri Kodanda Ramalayam, the event will take place between 8pm and 10pm on April 5 at Kalyana Vedika. Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel of TTD will live telecast the State Festival of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam for the sake of global devotees.
Between 4.30pm and 5.30pm, Sri Rama Namamritam, a devotional cultural programme will be presented by the artists of the Annamacharya Project, followed by Dance ballet by the students of SV College of Music and Dance under the supervision of the Principal Dr Uma Muddubala between 6.15pm and 7.45pm.
The divine wedding ceremony commence at 8pm. Before that, “Kanta Korika”, followed by Edurkolu Utsavam will be observed. Bhagavat Vignapanam, Sabha Anugna, Sankalpam for the welfare of humanity will be performed.
Later Punyahavachanam, Rakshabandhanam, Yagnopaveetadharanam, Varapresanam or Kanyavaranam, Madhuparkarchanam, Maha Sankalam followed by Kanyadanam, Vamsawaroopam, Agnipratishtapanam, Mangalastakam will be rendered.
The wedding proceedings includes Mangalya Pooja, Mangalasutra Dharana, Akshataropanam, followed by Nivedana, Veda Swasti, and concludes with Mahadaseervachanam. At 11pm, Gaja Vahana Seva will be observed.
