To curb the rush and unwanted traffic to the 7 hills of TTD, the authorities have decided that pilgrims with proper validation only should be allowed. It is found that there are people and businessmen coming to the hills and also camping at Tirumala for business meetings and some time for pyravis also.
People travelling are going on to the hills for other purposes will not be allowed. It has been reported that some political party leaders were camping on Tirumala for discussing political strategies.
The main agenda is to reduce the heavy traffic on TTD and thereby providing easy and hassle-free darshan for the common man in the near future. The new board will take these decisions in the first meeting.
It has been decided that most of the activity will be done in Tirupathi and later the pilgrims will be allowed to Tirumala just before an hour for the scheduled darshan.
At the same time, the transport system will also be revamped with electric vehicles to reduce pollution. The tonsuring of the hair that is Kalyanakatta will also shift to Tirupathi so that the TTD will remain clean.
The pilgrims will have to get the touring done at the bottom of hills, take the bath and then go for the Lord darshan via conveyors. This will save time and ensure more darshans for the day.
