VV Vinayak failed to rise to the expectations of the Hindi audience even with a remake. Rajamoulis Chatrapathi was remade in Hindi with Bellamkonda Srinivas and the movie fell on its face.
We can say that Bellamkonda cannot become a Baahubali or Prabhas. Vinayak could not add anything to the movie in general and could not enhance the content.
The film looks very outdated in terms of story and presentation. The screenplay is routine and there is no novelty whatsoever.
It feels as though the makers have run out of ideas and conflicts. There are films where you are well aware of the things happening and about to happen on-screen and Chatrapathi is exactly that kind of film.
The music and dance numbers don’t aid the screenplay and act as roadblocks. The film is too loud and so are the performances.
The rash use of Gujarati in dialogues adds to the misery. Vinayak tried to become a hero and the movie was shelved by Dil Raju the producer.
Now this remake is nowhere and the audiences just rejected it. It is better if Vinayak takes the right story and right hero for the movies and also remakes.
