29 films were viewed by the jury and the committee has zeroed in on the Assamese film as the best one for the Oscars competition. Rima das and Bhanita Das two girls from the same family directed the movie and they do not have formal training and background in filmmaking.
It was a surprise like selection to the other aspirants, but the same was also selected at the National level. The film is about a girl who tries to form a rock band with a little background. It was acclaimed by one and all.
