Two good films have failed in Bollywood. They failed to impress the audience. Kamal Hasan and Adavi Sesh have delivered but they failed to impress the Hindi audience.
Vikram is a complete failure in Hindi even as it’s raking in the moolah in every other version, not just Tamil, thus adding to the list of Kollywood biggies that sank with a trace in the North, unlike their Telugu counterparts.
Major is an action drama for the most part where guns and bombs become the norm after a certain run-time, but the film does a good job of opting for a personal tone instead of a jingoistic one when the latter might have been easier. This one deserves to be watched on the big screen.
But why the movies did not make an impact is the question. The unit of the movie Major had a major expectation in Bollywood as the incident occurred in Mumbai.
Kamal Hassan is a Pan India star but he could not succeed in Bollywood this time. Movies like Pushpa raked the moolah across the country.
But Vikram and Kamal failed with the hindi audience.
