With one right movie his stars have changed . He is in demand. His phone is busy. That is Tollywood. Yes we are talking about Vijay the new hero from Pellichoopulu. It is the latest hit of a small budget. It is the script that has made all the difference for the movie .

Vijay had earlier wanted to pursue theatre and not movies. But he loved acting. During the  graduation days, seven years back, Vijay joined theatre and after his first play, Vijayendra Prasad approached him with a movie offer. Who knows now even the great Director Rjamouli might also be interested.

A few more plays later, producer Suresh Babu and director Teja too approached Vijay,” he recalls.

Dhanush the hero from Tamil  had approached him with a role in his Tamil film after his debut. “But he didn’t like the script and politely refused said Vijay.
He is also busy with shuttling from one studio to other for his film promotion. His career has taken off and he is here to stay in Tollywood.

With Vijay’s last year debut with Yevade Subramanyam, he was just another upcoming newcomer, but with the huge success of the small film made with a crore and more budget, he is being showered with offers from a lot of big and small production houses.

Vijay was busy with a shoot in Italy when his Pellichoopulu  released. He was hopeful that it was a good film and would be successful, but didn’t expect it to be this huge success!

Yes he is getting good offers from time to time and he has entered the best time of his career. Now he needs to keep up the momentum.

Producer Suresh Babu has  shown the movie to everyone before the release and the word of mouth spread like wildfire and it is good publicity. After the promo and trailer went viral, producer Suresh Babu too came on board for the film and supported it like anything.

Vijays  father was worried about the sons  career initially. He was equally alrmed with his son rejecting big producers in the name of bad script it is reported. His father almost forced Vijay to accept those films saying that he had to take it to survive in the industry said Vijay.

His upcoming film Arjun Reddy is an intense love story. “I have to lose weight for this character and since I don’t have enough money to appoint a personal fitness trainer Vijay explained.

However, he felt he is not a perfect actor as yet and is the process of learning film after film. “I had to learn a lot before taking up movies. If I had made my debut then, I would have ended up being an actor facing criticism for lack of skills.”

There is a bright future for Vijay, there is no doubt about it.
