Many media men have suggested the BJP go for a channel in the Telugu states. The name was also registered by some people in the name of Lotus.
But Venkaiah Naidu was the leader who suggested that the party must use all the channels effectively. He was the man who entertained all the media men irrespective of their affiliations and circulation.
He played the host to the media and even after retirement he posted the senior media men. He always said no to a separate channel for the BJP.
Right now the Ambanis are planning to come into the media in a big way. Former CEO of TV nine will head a Telugu channel for the BJP fueled by the Ambanis it is learnt.
If the sources are right they are coming up with a Telugu newspaper also. All these days TRS had the support of TV nine also. But after the Jeeyar right TV nine is not supporting TRS.
They have T news which is equally popular as any other channel. The new channel for the BJP will have all the high-tech infrastructure and with little manpower.
There is a talk that some seniors of the TV nine will move to this channel for the sake of good payments and Ravi Prakash.
