Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu joined that it was not right on the part of anybody to impose one language. It may be noted that Amit Shah the Home Minister has said that we must become one Nation one language and that all of them must use Hindi.
There was a hue and cry ono the suggestion of the Home Minister and the South Indians said that noe one can impose Hindi on them. Later Amit Shah said that he was not imposing it and said that one must learn Hindi also.
Now the Vice President said that there was no question of imposing the other languages on others. They must have the freedom to use their own mother tongue and the local language. It may be noted that earlier Venkaiah also supported the choice of beef.
He said that one must have the freedom to choose the food they like and that no one has the right to dictate on the food that one must eat.
Now Venkaiah said that knowing more languages is good for communication and that no one has the right to impose others on the usage of any language. Cine stars and politicians opposed the move of Amit Shah on Hindi and there was no other option but for Amit Shah to withdraw his suggestion.
The language issue also created a lot of Hungama like the beef ban.
