Today the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, Sri VC Sajjanar, IPS along with other senior police officers of Cyberabad and Rachakonda visited the family of an organ donor at Mothkur town of Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district.
The organ donor, Late Sri V. Narsi Reddy was declared brain dead at a hospital in the city and on February 1st, his family members came forward and donated his organs (Kidneys, liver, heart and lungs, and cornea.) which will save the lives of around 8 persons suffering with various organ issues including one heart transplantation at the Apollo Hospital which was transported in Hyderabad Metro Rail.
The Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad Shri VC Sajjanar, IPS felicitated the family members (V Narsi Reddy wife V Nirmala, two sons and his mother V Sugunamma, Brother-in-law Nagam Venkat Reddy and Auncle Padma Reddy) and conveyed deep gratitude to them on behalf of the police and Jeevandan.
CP appreciated the efforts of the family to donate organs for humanitarian cause and assured them all help. He also urged Relatives of Brain Dead persons to come forward and do the same by following the example of V Narsi Reddy Family.
He expressed his appreciation to the entire family for being role models to the entire village/society/State/Country in understanding the importance of this noble cause and coming forward to donate the organs of the deceased family member even when they were in grief.
