One might be surprised to see that I wrote it was Vajpayee who is responsible for making Modi the PM of the country. But it is correct, Vajpayee was instrumental in getting Modi to this position when many opposed Modi as an aggressive man.
Yes Jawahar Lal Nehru also predicted that Vajpayee would become the PM of the country one day, But Vajpayee paved the way for making Modi the PM of the country.
There were times when Modi travelled with Vajpayee and also Advani in trains. They gave seats to others and slept on the floor of the train. It was Vajpayee who suggested the name of Modi for the post of CM of Gujarat and the rest is history. From there Modi climbed the steps one by one with his dedication hard work and ability.
Here in the video which was viral and which is viral, you can see how close Vajpayee was with Modi and how they hugged each other. Today Modi says he has lost his father. From Gujarat to Delhi, it was a long journey for Modi but the route map was indicated by Vajpayee from Gujarat.
Otherwise, Modi never dreamt of becoming the CM. It was Vajpayee who has all the confidence in him and recommended his name against all the odds.
