Atal Behari Vajpayee has done well in his real life. But he failed in the reel life. We are talking about the movie Mai Atal Hoon.
The actors have done well but the execution failed miserably.
Pankaj Tripathi is extraordinary as Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and it is true that probably no one could have played the part better than him.
Piyush Mishra in his limited screen time will steal your heart. Raja Rameshkumar Sevak as LK Advani and Payal Nair as Indira Gandhi have lived up to their parts, and so have the rest of the supporting cast.
The director was not sure of how to present the plot and he failed. But the actors as such have done their best. The journey of Vajpayee as a leader and also as PM was inspiring but it is not so in the reel life. The director should have taken some support of suggestions from the directors who made movies on Indira Gandhi and also Manmohan Sing. A better execution could have saved the movie we can say.
