The TTD is contemplating to keep the Vaikunta Dwaram open for 10 days it is reported. Usually, the doors to Vaikuntam that he heaven will be kep open for that night and pilgrims just throng on that day.
But the new management of TTD under the YSRC has decided that they would keep the doors open for 10 days. There is a sentiment that pilgrims who enter the Vaikuntam doors on that auspicious day would go to heaven after the death.
But after that day the next 9 days also the doors would be kept open. The board members have to approve the same. The Chief of Agama Sastra Ramana Deekshitulu has approved the decision.
But the other priests and experts in relgious matters must clarify if the same Punya will be applicable on all the 10 days. Vaikunata Ekadasi is an auspicious day and on that day if we enter the Temple thought that door, there is no doubt the heavens would be open.
But we do no know if the same applies for all the 10 days that the TTD is contemplating to keep the doors open. There is a chance that people might ridicule the decision of the TTD.
Vaikunta Ekadasi falls in the first week of December and the next 10 days are Sankranthi holidays.
