Veeramalla Prakash Rao, one of the founders of the Telangana Statehood movement, and Chairman of State Water Resources Development Corporation has got a rare opportunity and he is all set to participate in the World water council to be held in November. It will be held in France.
Prakash is all set to contest as the Alternate Governor of the water council. The conference will be held on November 30. There are members from 151 countries in the water council.
The proposal for Prakash to contest for the Alternate Governor for the World water council was made by Indian water council and other bodies.
V Prakash Rao worked hard to create awareness among the people on the injustices being meted out to the Telangana in water and irrigation. Since Prakash has an expertise in the irrigation sector, the responsibility of the Water Resources Development Corporation is given to him. Prakash who is closely associated with KCR since the inception of the party is active in dealing with the issues of water and also irrigation from time to time.
Now he has got a rare opportunity to participate in the World water council bureau meet on behave of India and it is a rare honour.
