The 76-year-old actor had a long stint in Telugu cinema. She made her screen debut as a girl in the ‘Kanyasulkam’ that was released way back in 1955. The movie features the legendary NT Rama Rao, Sowcar Janaki, Savitri in the lead roles.
Later, it was in 1961, Sharada hogged the limelight with the movie ‘Iddaru Mitrulu’ in which she played opposite Akkineni Nageswara Rao. The movie was a massive hit at the box office and subsequently, she was introduced to the Tamil and Malayalam film industries.
