The ongoing Kumbh Mela which comes under religious tourism is all set to generate about Rs one lakh crore for the UP Government. It is a religious congregation where crores of pilgrim and visitors would come and join the Shahi Snan. The event started around Sankranthi and will go up to March creating huge employment directly and indirectly.
The UP Government under Yogi Adityanath has allocated about 4500 crore for the event where visitors from all the foreign countries are expected to come for the event. It is the at the congregation of 3 river waters that people would take the religious bath here in the name of Sangam. The bath ghats are full all the time and special security has been provided at the sensitive areas including the women police.
Police stations have also been set up for the event. The chief Ministers Yogi is monitoring the event from time to time. Over six lakh workers are already serving crores of people who are moving in and out of UP day in and day out for the relgious event. Airlines, Railways, and Bus transport is operating in full potential for the ongoing Mela.
It looks Kumbh Mela is a festival of the world and Prime Minister Modi is inviting people to India whenever he is on a foreign tour. The area of the Mela has been doubled, the tourists have increased, the facilities have also been improved considerably and the revenue expected to be generated from the mela is around 1 lakh crore to 1.5 lakh crore subject to the correction. Generating a lakh of crore money in just 3 months time is like a god given opportunity.
This money is categorised under religious tourism by the Business sectors. It is a good revenue for the state government. The central government is also supporting the mela very actively.
