Union Minister of state Ramdas Athawale was slapped and pushed by a man when the minister was coming after attending a function. The man was identified as Praveen Gosavi a worker of the Republican party of India. The man who pushed the minister was later thrashed by the local people. The police have arrested him and further investigation is going on.
Gosavi was admitted to the hospital as he was beaten black and blue by the crowd. Gosavi the accused suddenly lunged at the minister as he was stepping down after addressing the gathering.
The people came to the rescue of the Minister and thrashed Gosavi till the time the police intervened. A case was registered and the investigation is going on.
