Union Minister Prahlad Joshi met mega-producer Ashwini Dut, his daughter Priyanka Dutt and director Nag Aswin who is the son in law. Recently nag Aswhwin has director Savithri which is a super-duper movie and has won many awards at the National level.
Dr Laxman and others accompanied the central Minister to Ashwini dutt. It is not known if there was any political significance to this meeting. Ashwini Dutt has such tried to join the politics with the TDP, but could not continue the same. He told several times that politics was not his cup of Tea.
It is reported that they talked about the movies and also about the GST for the film industry and other things. The central Minister explained about the facilities being made available in Jammu and Kashmir and the difference in the atmosphere after repealing article 370 there.

Ashwini Dutt appreciated the initiative of the Modi Government in developing Varasni. Ashwini Dutt visits Varanasi on a regular basis. He also goes to TTD regularly. He is a religious person. There is talk that the BJP leaders could be luring Ashwini Dutt into the BJP fold. But it is not easy to convince him into the politics.
