Union Minister for Tourism G Kishan Reddy will go to Bangalore to fix the new Chief Minister for the state of Karnataka. It may be mentioned here that Yediyurappa has resigned yesterday from the post.
Kishan Reddy will oversee the CLP meeting and see that the election of the new leader takes place in a smooth and peaceful manner. Kishan Reddy will be like an observer of the election.
The Brahmins, the Lingayats and also the Dalits are claiming the Chief Ministers post for a long time. Yediyurappa belonged to the Lingayat community and now he has stepped down to pave way for others.
Kishan Reddy has become the blue-eyed boy for Minister for Home Amit Shah. They have elevated Kishan to the post of Union Minister from MOS.
He did well as the Minister of State for Home along with Amit Shah. That is the reason Kishan was given the portfolio for developing the eastern states.
Kishan Reddy is also very close to PM Modi, they travelled together for a long time before getting any posts in the Government. Kishan Reddy has a good reputation in the Telugu states also.
