Union Minister of State for Home Kishan Reddy spoke to DGP , Telangana and enquired about the police manhandling an MP and also beating him up in Karimnagar. Karimnagar Mp bandi Sanjay was roughed up by a police constable when he was participating in a dharna along with the RTC employees. The RTC employees were taking the dead body of an employee in a procession to the Bus depo and they were stopped by the police to take the body to the cremation ground.
There was a tussle between the police and the agitators of RTC and the MP over the body. The agitators wanted the body to be taken to the depo, while the police wanted it to be diverted to the burial ground for the final rites.
While the tussle continued a police constable has caught the MP Bandi with his collar and it looked as if he was given a slap to the MP. The issue raised many an eyebrow and the MP said that he would move a privilege motion in this aspect.
The matter was reported to the Union Minister of State for Home Kishan reddy. Kishan Reddy ordered the DGPto give a report to him over an MP being beaten up by the Telangana police which goes completely against the protocol.
The video shows that the MP was touched on his cheek by the police constable. Was it done deliberately or not has to be examined now? The DGP assured the Union Minister as to what exactly happened during the protest in Karimnagar.
