Cooking is a great art and some chefs earn crore while cooking and teaching how to cook. Cooking for taste is one way and cooking for the sake of good health is the right way. There are things that you should not do while cooking.

1. Peeling of carrots and some other vegetables is not advisable as the skin has more nutrients than the vegetable. Potatoes can be boiled as it is without peeling and cooking for good health according to health experts. But they must be washed properly.

2. Don’t boil or fry the vegetables for too long. They are bound to lose the healthy nutrients. It is better to boil them for some time and then fry them for some time so that they retain all the health.

3. Don’t sprinkle salt over the food. Don’t add the salt over the food. You have to cook the salt along with the food so that it boils properly. It works like refining the salt.

4. One has to take care of the cooking utensils also. Teflon coated pans and dishes are not good for health. Stainless steel pans and utensils must be used. Don’t go for Teflon coated utensils in the name of non-stick pans so on and so forth. Sometimes copper vessels and brass vessels are also good.

5. Fried food and roasted food loses all vitamins and proteins. It burns the food and converts it into carbon which is not good for health. So boiled and semi-fried things are good for you.

6. Using the right kind of oil and not using the boiled oil, again and again, is one of the important aspect, one has to follow. Refined oils are bad for health.
