It looks like BSNL will be the first in India to launch the 5G services in India. It has been working for a long time to get into this 5G services. The company which is losing the landline services on daily basis is trying to launch this next generation ultra high speed of telecom services soon to keep the identity of the company safe.
The global launch and India launch of this 5G services will be done at the same time according to the BSNL. BSNL has been working with international vendors like Nokia, Coriant and ZTE to built this 5G technology network in the country.
But the consumer services of 5G could get started by 2020 it looks like.
On the other hand, the BSNL is not repaying the deposits of landline workers and some of them have been waiting since last 2 -3 years for the deposits that they have earlier paid for the connections. The landline connections are being returned as people are happy with mobiles.
One can see people especially senior citizens in front of BSNL offices who come for the deposit amounts and the accounts department says there are no funds. It looks like the company is going into losses.
