These days celebrating festivals is a big issue. For every festival there are two days earmarked and there are two sections of astrologers claiming two different dates.
It happened for Holi also this month. Now the latest is that there is a confusion regarding the Ugadi day as popular Astrologers were divided into two groups.
After Telangana Government declared a holiday on March 29th to celebrate the Telugu New Year, Few Astrologers has given a representation appealing to reconsider preponement by a day (March 28th). This led to a big confusion among the people and no one had any clue about when to celebrate the festival.
Telangana Government Advisor KV Ramanachary officially announced there won’t be any change in the earlier decision. He informed the delegation of Telangana Brahmin Parishad Vidvat Sabha that Ugadi will be celebrated on March 29th itself.
Ramanachary said: ‘Telugu New Year Ugadi will be conducted on March 29th. Telangana Government will hold a meeting with Almanac Writers from next year before finalizing the dates of festivals. So that, These kind of confusions could be avoided’.
As usual the day will be marked by CM K Chandrasekhar Raos participation in the function followed by Panchanga sravanam and prediction of the state and politics for the next year according to the Telugu calendar.
