Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said that two women will get berths in the cabinet soon. There is a scope to accommodate 6 more Ministers into the cabinet he said. He was replying on the vote on account budget presented by himself yesterday.
He said that the women would get all the elevation in his government. He also gave an MLC seat to one lady out of the 5 seats announced.
He was answering to the questions raised by the Opposition in the state Assembly on the eve of the budget session. He said that the women groups running the banks in RR district and some other places would get encouragement and due importance.
Apart from this the food processing units and other business to set up in the state will be handed over to the Women groups for better management he explained. The idea of the TRS government was to make women self-reliant he stated. The interest-free loans being extended to the Mahila groups will be rs 10 lakh from now on he announced.
He assured that the women will not be neglected in the TRS Government and that women voted him to power. The women will be given respect and developed to be self-reliant. The double bedroom houses are also being registered in the name of women in the state. Without the support of women, we would not have been in power KCR agreed.
