The Supreme court opined that it can have a separate channel to air the proceedings live like the Loksabha or the Rajya Sabha TV. A Senior lawyer said that the proceedings in the court should be allowed for the people to watch. The court said that it can go live also and there was no objection to it. The Government also said that if the court takes a decision they can facilitate with the infrastructure for a separate channel.
Like the parliament sessions, the court sessions can also go live. People interested can watch them. The concept to access to justice to all can be stretched via live streaming. This will also ensure total transparency chief Justice Deepak Mishra opined. But rape cases and matrimonial cases should be dealt with all the precautions justice Misra opined. It will be useful to the young lawyers and also the law students. The CJ court can go live first and then it can be extended to all the courts in a phased manner.
