Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which administers the temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala, has decided to construct Lord Balaji’s replica temples in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi, Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and Mumbai.
The TTD board has also decided to build a temple in Amaravathi also. But now the YSRC Government has reduced the extent of land that has been allocated for the Temple.
On the other hand, the TTD temple which was built in the Prime Land of Jubilee Hills has less number of pilgrims. The pilgrims are seen in the Temple only on Saturdays and festival days.
One can see the priests distributing the prasadam in bulk to the pilgrims as there are none to consume that which is made in bulk inside the Temple.
But the TTD should also think as to who would come to visit the Temple in Jammu and Kashmir. Varanasi and Mumbai are the right places to take up the temples here.
Now the latest is that there is a slight dip in the pilgrims coming to the TTD also since last 6 months compared to the earlier times. The free laddus have been stopped and only one laddu is being given free of cost. The other laddus have to be purchased at Rs 50 each.
