The TTD temple cleansing fete, Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam will be observed on February 8 in Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple in Tirupati in connection with the annual Brahmotsavams which commences on February 11.
The traditional cleaning fete will be observed on Wednesday between 11:30am and 2:30pm wherein the puja materials will be cleansed. The devotees will be allowed for darshan only between 8am and 11am and again after 2:3opm till 8pm.
The important days includes Dhwajarohanam and Hamsa Vahanam on February 11, Suryaprabha and Chandraprabha on February 12, Bhoota and Simha Vahanams on February 13, Makara and Sesha vahanams on February 14, Tiruchi Utsavam and Adhikaranandi Vahanam on February 15, Vyaghra and Gaja Vahanams on February 16, Kalpavriksha and Aswa Vahanams on February 17, Rathotsavam and Nandi Vahanam on the auspicious day of Maha Sivaratri on February 18, Purushamriga, Kalyanotsavam and Tiruchi Utsavam on February 19, NarajaSwamy Suryaprabha Vahanam, Trisula Snanam, Ravana Vahanam and Dhwajavarohanam on February 20.
Among the score of Sankeertans penned by Saint Poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya which are not so popular among masses, should be tuned with new ones and given massive publicity said TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.
It may be mentioned here that TTD has focussed on such Sankeertans and striving to make them popular among the public. On the 270 Sankeertans which were given new tunes will be popularised in the public by presenting them with the young singers on the Nada Neerajanam platform at Tirumala.
All these Sankeertans will be telecasted live on SVBC as well on TTD Website, YouTube, social media platforms etc. Along with the songs, the texts will also be displayed while telecasting these Sankeertans.
In the second phase arrangements were made to give new tunes to 340 more Sankeertans and directed the music directors to complete the task within scheduled time.
