As the Navaratri Brahmotsavams in Tirumala are set to commence from October 15 to 23 with Ankurarpanam on October 14, all departments have geared up for the big festival, said TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.
Speaking at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday along with District Collector Sri Venkatramana Reddy and SP Sri Parameshwar Reddy, the EO said, the important days includes, Garuda Seva on October 19, Pushpaka Vimanam on October 20, Golden Chariot on October 22 and Chakrasnanam on October 23.
The EO said, in view of brahmotsavams, all the privileged darshans like senior citizens, physically challenged, parents with infants remain cancelled. In view of Garuda Seva on October 19, two-wheelers will not be allowed to ply on the Ghat roads on that day.
“As the devotees throng Tirumala on the previous day night itself in the galleries of four mada streets to witness Garuda Vahana Seva, we are contemplating to advance the Vahana Seva on October 19 after negotiating with the chief priests of Tirumala temple, in the larger interests of pilgrims”, he added.
Later the District Collector and SP also informed that their departments are ready to provide the required manpower and support to TTD towards the smooth conduct of the ensuing Navaratri Brahmotsavams.
Earlier, a detailed review meeting was held over the department-wise arrangements.
