The TTD is all set to sell around a lakh of one lakh Sarvadarshanma tickets for the coming 10 day festival of Mukkoti Ekadasi here. The stage is set for the Darshan for 10 days from the special entry where the pilgrims believe that they go to heaven after death.

The Mukkoti Ekadasi will begin from 25th. It is being observed for 10 days on Tirumala.

On the other hand the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD) management has taken a firm decision not to consider recommendation letters issued by VIPs for darshan and other facilities, including accommodations to their near and dear ones visiting the hills from first January to third.

The TTD board members are expecting heavy traffic from first to third of 2021.

It has been decided that only protocol VIPs would be given priority in getting accommodation and special entry tickets for darshan on payment, executive officer of TTD, said in a press conference.

The board made it clear the VIPs must accompany the guests that they have recommended.

The TTD board members took the decision keeping in view the heavy flow of pilgrims during the ensuing 10 day festival of Mukkoti Ekadasi where they sold about 2 lakh tickets in advance. The local pilgrims are being given tickets in Tirupathi from five special counters. This will also add to the traffic to the hill shrine.

The TTD which has classified the VIP darshan into three categories earlier has done away with the system and now it is just called as the beginning break darshan common for all. The Rs 10000 ticket is also having takers for the quick darshan.

TTD chief Subba Reddy is saying that things are being done with the Covid regulations, but the pilgrims are not following the so called social distancing. They are ofcourse wearing the masks.

The TTD has started distributing prasadam during the break darshan inside the Temple which is a welcome sign. For Pilgrims the Prasadam is very important
