TTD has announced the shifting of the room allotment system to Tirupati. The VIP break Darshan timings will be from ten in the morning. This will create utter chaos and confusion for the pilgrims.
There is a chance that they might end up in Tirupathi if they don’t get the accommodation and may be forced to go to private hotels or other kinds of accommodation.
This will definitely provide business to the hotels in Tirupathi in a big way. Taking a ticket online and then not getting accommodation online is not right.
The TTD must give some room or other on TTD only to the pilgrims who have already got the tickets.
If they cannot ensure rooms, they should not sell the tickets also.
There is no doubt the rush of pilgrims is more. But this was the situation earlier also. In the name of repairs and construction, several cottages have been closed.
But there was no news on the people going to TTD with recommendation letters. Where will they get the accommodation is the question. Where should they submit the letter is another question.
It would be very difficult to give the letter to the JEO office and then come down for the accommodation. This is nothing but putting the pilgrims to hardship.
They have to go up to TTD in the evening to pay the fee for VIP darshan.
Then go to TTD up for the Lord’s darshan. This way you have to climb up and down thrice for the darshan. There were times when pilgrims used to adjust themselves on the roads.
The new system is like keeping the pilgrims away from the Temple Town.
