TTD project for Sarangapani

TTD will launch a project dedicated to Sri Sarangapani, a famous 17th-century poet and composer of Carnatic music who lived in the Karvetinagaram area of Chittoor district.

Sri Sarangapani penned about 5 thousand kirtans in Telugu and Sanskrit in praise of Sri Venugopala Swamy.

The inauguration of the project will be held on Thursday, March 7 at 3 pm at the SVETA Building in Tirupati.

Padma Bhushan awardee and renowned playback singer Dr. P. Susheela, TTD Chairman Sri. Bhumana Karunakara Reddy, EO Sri. AV. Dharma Reddy, JEO Sri. Veerabraham, SVBC Chairman Dr. Saikrishna Yachendra will grace the event.

Arrangements are being made for this under the aegis of SVETA Director Sri Bhumana Subrahmanyam Reddy.Watches and mobile phones donated by devotees through hundi at Tirumala Srivari Temple and other affiliated temples will be e-auctioned on March 13 through the state government’s purchase portal.

It includes watches from Titan, Casio, Timex, Alvin, Sonata, Timewell, Fasttrack, Rado companies. Similarly, there are mobile phones of iPhones, Vivo, Nokia, Karbonn, Samsung, Motorola and Oppo companies. A total of 23 lots of new/used/partially damaged watches and 27 lots of mobile phones were e-auctioned.
