All is not well with the management of the TTD in terms of giving darshan to the poor pilgrims. Three pilgrims suffered injuries and were admitted to the local hospital.
There is confusion and chaos at the Sarvadarshan counters. If they get tokens they have to stay for two days in Tirupathi for getting the darshan.
There is no food or accommodation for the pilgrims to wait for the darshan. They are sleeping on the roads. The water is also very costly on the hill shrine.
There is no clarity to the board members as to what they are doing with the pilgrims. Issuing tickets months in advance online is also another issue.
People are waiting on the roads for the last four days for the Sarvadarshan tokens here. Some pilgrims are demanding that they don’t want darshan, but they want to go for the tonsure of hair and they must be allowed on the Tirumala.
Some of them have no money as they did not plan for the week-long journey to Tirupathi. They cannot afford to go back and come again for the darshan.
Right now around seventy thousand pilgrims are getting the Balaji Darshan on Tirumala and half of them are going for the hair tonsure. The collections also have gone up.
