It is praiseworthy that the TTD is implementing the Annaprasadam distribution in some Temples along with the TTD. But there is every need for the quality to be improved. It must serve good rice as they have abundant funds for the program.
Funds still keep pouring in for the food distribution scheme at free of cost. A regular monitoring system should be there so that pilgrims of all categories would take the food.
The rich and upper class generally do not come to the free food centres as they don’t get the proper quality. The Chairman said TTD was poised to conduct the Annaprasadam program more extensively to benefit all devotees coming to the pilgrim city.
He said arrangements are being made at Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple to provide Annaprasadam to about 2000 devotees every day from 11 am to 4.00 pm at Sri Nammalwar Sannidhi on the North Mada street of the temple.
Today besides Tirumala, Annaprasadam is being served to tens of thousands of devotees even at Sri Padmavati Ammavari temple in Tiruchanoor and now onwards at Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple. “Soon we will launch the Annaprasadam distribution programme in Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple at Vontimitta also”, he maintained.
