In the name of helping the common man, the new TTD chief Subbareddy seems to be thinking of making TTD a commercial hub, even though there is no dearth of funds for the Lord.
The funds belonging to the TTD or collected by the TTD in the name of Lord are not fully spent, as most of the programs and the schemes implemented on Tirumala are paid the donors. There is a donor for every work being done on Tirumala.
So there is no need for the TTD to collect Rs 10000 for the proposed VIP darshan or the break darshan. It is being rumoured that the New board would impose a ticket of Rs 10,000 for the break darshan in the near future.
Now the VIP darshan is done with the help of a recommendation letter and a Rs 500 ticket per head. We do not know if the Rs 10000 is collected for a family of 4 or for a single person. Will this 10,000 rupees be valid or a day or for a year we do not know.
But one thing is clear that the darshan is being commercialised by the new chief. Is this the idea to reduce the number of people for Darshan or make it affordable only for a few people?
Making L1,L2, L3 as a single break darshan is ok. But that does not mean that the TTD will charge rs 10000 for the break darshan. The chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy must think twice before introducing this rs 10000 ticket.
The Lord should not be made so costlier. If possible just think of removing all the recommendations and provide all kinds of sevas and darshans with tickets up to Rs 500 as a higher limit.
