The Gold Malam works of Ananda Nilayam mulled by TTD in the month of February has been postponed and decided to go far global tenders for time-bound completion of the gold plating works to avoid inconvenience to the pilgrims, said TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy.
Speaking to media persons along with TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy and JEO Sri Veerabrahmam at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala ,the Chairman said, the gold malam works taken up in Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple which has been given to a local contractor is still going on from the past two years.
But in Tirumala, the works should be completed within the specified time schedule as the temple is being visited by lakhs of devotees. So we are contemplating a work contract to the best contract calling for global tenders.
