The monthly Dial your EO programme will take place at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on July 7 between 9am and 10am.
Devotees shall call 08772263261 and directly talk to TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy to give their suggestions and feedback.TTD said the Mandapam does not belong to the Archeological Survey of India. It is a recreation spot of Sri Malayappa Swamy during the annual Parveta utsavam and Karthika Vana Bhojanam festivals with huge footfalls of devotees.
In view of its crumbling and damaged conditions, the Mandapam posed a threat of injuries to devotees and the TTD Board in its resolution no.113 dated July 11 in 2022 has already sanctioned ₹2.70 crores for its Jeernodharana (restoration). As tender procedures were completed the contractor has commenced works on Tuesday on July 4 this year.
In the backdrop of these developments, some vested interests have launched a malicious campaign against stating that TTD has planned to demolish the historical structure.
TTD warned of legal action against perpetrators for spreading such a wrong, mischievous and motivated campaign against TTD, playing with the sentiments of millions of devotees and damaging the reputation of the towering Hindu religious institution of the country.
