No pilgrim will be allied to climb the hill shrine Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam due to Corona. This is for the first time in the history of TTD that it has been closed. The Alipri road and other routes on to the hill shrine are completely closed.

People who reached the TTD already will get the darshan in the meantime. But the people coming to the shrine further will not be allowed. People will remember Corona for closing down the Balaji Temple.

It is a huge loss to TTD. But the Chairman of the TTD said that the Poojas will continue and the Temple will be kept open. Regular pilgrims will not be allowed explained Chairman Subbareddy.

But some pilgrims are of the opinion that they must be informed about the closure of the Temple. The TTD will be open when the situation becomes normal and when there is no Corona scare.

The ekantha pooja for the Lord Balaji will continue. Some sevas have been closed earlier. Thousands of pilgrims who have already reached the shrine have to return back without darshan.
