One might be surprised as to why the TRS hs gone to the GHMC polls in a hurry. But KCR the master strategist is of the opinion that the BJP cannot win more than 40 divisions and with that they cannot get the Mayor post.
Whereas the TRS with just 50 divisions can get the Mayor post. The MLAs, MLCs, MPs and the ex-officio members will vote for the TRS and that will take care of the Mayor post.
The MIM will also support the TRS and with this calculation, they can get the Mayor post. So the flood effect cannot make difference to the TRS at this juncture.
The Congress party is nowhere in the contest. The BJP has just two MLAs one MLC and some MPs this will not be sufficient for them to take the Mayor post.
The TRS,MIM and the Exofficios members will make the TRS to win the Mayor post in Hyderabad. That is the reason TRS has taken the decision to go for the elections.
The Nominations have already started in Hyderabad and no party has released any list so far. So the TRS has got nothing to lose at this point in time, but the BJP will definitely have something to gain in this election.
KCR is already holding the B forms back, so that some of them may not shift to the BJP. The court on the other hand is not entertaining any petitions against the elections.
The court clarified that the election process is on and they will not entertain any PILs against the polls.
