TRS keen to open 100 NRI units abroad: Kavitha

The TRS NRI wing is keen on establishing its units in at least 100 countries across the world before the party’s plenary meeting likely to be held on April 27, marking TRS foundation day. At present, TRS has its chapters opened in about 40 countries and TRS NRI wing is making attempts to garner support from Telangana NRIs in several other countries.TRS NRI wing coordinator Mahesh Bigala called on Nizamabad MP and TRS NRI affairs in-charge K Kavitha at her residence in Hyderabad and discussed the establishment of new units of TRS in various countries and their activities.

On the occasion, Kavitha asked TRS NRI wing to take initiative and increase the presence of TRS in different countries for helping Telangana NRIs create a platform and strengthen its presence for benefit of all Telangana people in respective countries. She pointed out that the entire nation had its eyes on Telangana State which was being developed as a role model for others. She appreciated TRS NRI wing members for their participation and gathering support for TRS across the world, during the Assembly elections. She asked them to join the party’s mission in the upcoming Parliamentary elections and ensure its victory in 16 Lok Sabha segments.

Meanwhile, TRS NRI wing established its new unit in Canada and appointed an adhoc committee which was approved by MP Kavitha. A full-fledge committee will be appointed at a later date. The adhoc committee comprises Krishna Komandla, Prabhakar Thumu, Sampath Balamuni, Sai Ramakrishna Kante, Satish Veeravelli, Chetan Koraboina, Srinath Kunduru, Karunakar P, and Mohammad Yar Khan.
